Chrysa privacy policy

Last updated 12 September 2026

Chrysa is a personal life companion. Everything it knows about you lives in a database on your phone. There is no account, no login, and no server of ours. We never see your data, so we cannot sell it, share it, or lose it.

What stays on your phone

The one thing that can use the internet

In You there is a switch called Places and weather from the internet. It is off by default. When you turn it on, Chrysa sends a location rounded to about one kilometre, and nothing else, to two free public services: Open-Meteo for the weather and OpenStreetMap (the Overpass API) for named places nearby. No identifier goes with it. Turn the switch off and the fetched places and weather are removed.

Permissions, and why

Software updates

The app checks for updates to its own code through Expo's update service. That request carries the app's version and platform, not your data.

Your controls

How to delete your data

Chrysa stores everything on your phone, so deleting it is instant and complete. Either of these removes all of it:

  1. In the app, open You, scroll to Privacy, plainly, and tap Delete all my data. Every goal, log, setting, and permission record on the phone is erased at once, and the app returns to its first screen.
  2. Uninstall the app. Its database is removed with it.

Nothing is kept anywhere else, so there is no retention period and nothing to request from us. The only data that ever left the phone, if you switched on places and weather, was a location rounded to about a kilometre with no identifier attached; the two public services it went to hold nothing that can be tied to you.

Children

Chrysa is for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the app's Privacy section says so.
